What is Cohestry?
Cohestry is a desktop workspace for company conversations, projects, documents, and AI agents. It gives your team a shared place for the work and the context around it.
Can I run it on my own infrastructure?
Yes. The backend supports self-hosting, and you operate your own data services. We’re preparing the public source and installation guide to make setup easier.
Is Cohestry open source?
Cohestry uses the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The source repository is being prepared for public access. We’ll link it here when it’s available; the desktop preview is available to download now.
Do agents act on their own?
No. An agent can be given the context to prepare work, such as a draft or a set of suggested edits, but a named person reviews and decides what happens next.
How do Cloud and Enterprise differ?
Cloud is planned as a subscription service on our shared managed platform. Enterprise will offer a dedicated instance, also managed by us. Self-serve Cloud subscriptions and Enterprise are not available yet.
What do I need to get started?
A Mac with Apple Silicon and an existing company invitation or server setup. The current development preview is not yet notarized by Apple; the release page explains the installation steps.
